A boost of vitamin C !!

Last weekend was the bicentenary of the carnival in Ivrea with the so loved and worshiped orange fight! But this year it was different because me and my bro were again busting our guts in the square after a couple of years absence.

Everything starts on Saturday nite with the teams parading around the old town; everyone is on the streets jumping and singing, drinking and jumping, singing and drinking. The boring and quite fascist orientated teams proceed almost marching behind rolling drums and idiotic flags held by wannabe teenage girls. Our team was supposed to be in front of the parade, which is somehow considered a priviledge, but instead it kind of lost completely the plot after the first few hundreds meters. That's what Tuchini are all about: anarchist (or just total drunken) behaviour during the parade, tough on the square during the battle and not really bothered with all the fuss about winning the bloody thing!

After one and a half day (resistance time of my shoulder) of battle it was time to say bye to the square, and put the boots back until next year!
